What would a dealer actually offer for the watch on your wrist?
Our founders knew the frustration first-hand. When it came to selling their own watches, understanding their value in the market was far from straightforward. Advertised prices could give a starting point, but they did not answer the question that mattered: what would someone actually pay?
Getting closer to an answer meant visiting different dealers' websites, filling in multiple valuation forms and uploading the same photographs again and again. After all that effort, only a handful of valuations or offers might come back. It was difficult to know whether those responses represented the wider market or simply the few dealers they had approached.
That experience led to a simple question: why not bring the dealers to the watch? Instead of asking a seller to repeat the same enquiry across the market, let verified UK dealers review one submission and place their own bids.
The Watch Platform was created to make that connection: less repetition, a wider audience of dealers and a clearer view of the offers available for your particular watch.
Buying a pre-owned watch online should be just as clear as selling one. Too often it isn't. On many watch marketplaces, sellers pay commission on every sale and buyers can face extra fees at checkout, and those costs tend to find their way into the price you pay. Add sellers you know little about, often based overseas, and it becomes hard to know who you are really buying from.
Our Buy section takes a simpler approach. Every watch listed comes from a UK dealer, and you buy directly from that dealer, on their terms and with their guarantees.
We take no commission from the buyer or the dealer on classified sales, so there is no platform cut built into the asking price.
