Description
An Omega Seamaster 300 diver’s stainless steel gentleman’s wristwatch, circa 1966, ref. 165.014, with straight lug case, rotating bakelite bezel (which we have had restored by the world’s acknowledged expert), black dial with Arabic quarter numerals, baton markers and sweep centre seconds. The Seamaster is based on waterproof wristwatches made for the British Army at the end of WWII. Launched in 1957 along with the Railmaster and the Speedmaster, the Seamaster 300 series started with the CK 2913. In 1964 the transitional reference 165.014 appeared, the last model with a “straight lugs” case. The watch is wearing its 50+ years well, with the all-important dial The Calibre 552 movement, no. 24,719,364, has also been fully serviced and is running perfectly. The watch includes a later 175 bracelet which shows considerable stretch so we have put the watch on a new beautiful dark green leather strap. Finally, it also comes with an Omega original era box and an official Extract from the Archives. We work hard to ensure you are pleased with your purchase, both before and after the sale.
